What Do The Initials Aarp Mean ?

AARP is an abbreviation used for referring to the American Association of Retired Persons. This non profit as well as non government organization is known as the voice of people above 50 years of age. It is running in 50 states with around 40 million or more members. AARP was established long back in the year 1958. As the time passed, this organization too grew in size as well as in terms of its members.



AARP consists of five various divisions. They are namely AARP Global Network, AARP Foundation, AARP Financial, AARP Services and AARP's Educator Community. The foundation division addresses the requirements of people with low income while the services division deals with various different services like life event and travel services. The financial division offers investment and finance related services, whereas the global network division manages organization of different associations all over the world for creating a support for AARP principles. This in turn works towards the improvement of lives of several older people throughout the world.
