A conservatorship is a legal position given by a judge to a person, who will be a conservator or a guardian to a person, who is incapacitated. The conservator appointed by the judge takes care of all legal, financial and health issues of the conservatee, or the incapacitated person.
There are several responsibilities for a conservator which they are expected to discharge with humanity and diligence. A conservator is by default a family member, such as a spouse or a child. At the same time the conservator can also decide to resign from the position by giving advance notice.
